What is happening now? Right now, not much is going on to protect karst landscapes and landforms. In New South Wales, Australia, however, there is the goal of protecting and conserving karst features. Currently, karst conservation reserves have been established in four different locations - Abercrombie, Borenore, Jenolan, and Wombeyan caves. They recognise the sensitivity of karst land formations and their requirements. This is all happening thanks to the Office of Environment & Heritage. |
