Hazards
Sinkholes: The effect of sinkholes on a karst landscape is not as hazardous if it is a natural sinkhole rather than one caused by human interference. The worst it will do is change the general topography of the area and divert streams of ground water. Topography is the arrangement of land and features in an area. This means if a sinkhole were to take place in a populated area, more damage would be dealt to the man-made structures or life that occupy the range.
Landslides: Landslides can cause movement to earth, rock and other materials or resources. It can change some of the topography of an area.
