Glacial vs. Karst!
Glacial
Glacial landscapes have aesthetic, economical and scientific value! They are widely known for their beautiful snow and land formations! It isn't really known where economical value is - but their glaciers are tanks of fresh water and can help provide hydroelectricity. Glacial landscapes have scientific value because they are subject to research from scientists - simply because of fascination on interest! |
Karst
Karst landscapes have cultural, spiritual, aesthetic and economical value! Not as well known, but help contribute to other landscapes with beautiful karst land formations. Economical value is found in karst landscapes because karst makes up roughly 10% of the Earth's surface and supplies water to 1/4 of the population! Karst landscapes have cultural and spiritual value because societies of different beliefs used karst caves as a place of worship and healing! |
